A lot of interstitial cystitis (IC) patients suffer from bloating and/or IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). This bloating is caused by an affected intestinal flora. Your gut flora manages a healthy digestion as well as a well functioning immune system. The use of antibiotics, medication, wrong food choices as well as stress causes a disturbed gut flora and therefore a disturbed digestion.
The only way to tackle this problem is to address all of the mentioned factors: quit taking antibiotics, quit all types of medication, seek for professional dietary advice and stimulate the recovery of your gut flora by using targeted probiotics. Always consult a professional first before setting these steps.

I have a friend who told me that she has been feeling a little off lately. Upon researching for the symptoms that she has been noticing with herself, she thinks that she does have interstitial cystitis. She is kind of stubborn that is why she hasn’t gotten a checkup yet. I agree with you that it is a must to seek professional help and consult with them before doing any necessary steps. Thanks for the tips!
